Peter tried to talk his way out of it but finally sees that it is no use and then told his aunt May about why he became Spider-Man. After Spider-man broke free and defeated Norman Osborn, seemingly for good, as he was taken to a mental hospital, Peter learned that it was in fact aunt May he found. Peter had found a job at a science-center where he did good work and stayed out of the superhero life, although it turned out that was harder than it seemed. By the end of Identity Crisis Peter and MJ had found newfound understanding of each other, their relationship together, and their relationship with Spider-Man. Peter follows Ezekiel and tries to find out why he knows so much about him. He knew it must have had something to do with the stalker, and Peter started a crusade to find out the truth. The writers then needed to come up with a reasonable excuse for why Peter would want the symbiote removed, in order to please fans. The fans are certainly ready for it, with Sony’s social media accounts seemingly enjoying poking fun at that anticipation.

She acted as Spider-man and later as Spider-Woman when Peter finally accepted that he was needed as Spider-man and returned to life as a superhero. This was why ‘aunt May’ knew about Peter being Spider-Man, she was hired by Norman Osborn to play her! Norman Osborn broke out of jail and managed to clear his name of being the Green Goblin. After Peter had his aunt returned, he decided to stop being Spider-man for good. Although he urged him to finish him off, Peter refused to play the Goblin’s game and proposed a truce. Norman had apparently kidnapped May years ago and had an actress surgically look like aunt May and play her part while she was dying.
